Our wedding took place at Ringwood Hall near Chesterfield. The room we used for the reception looked like the inside of a castle with stone walls. Very magical.
They have a secret garden for great wedding photographs! We went for a vintage woodland theme with lots of fairy lights. We incorporated this into our day by having a vintage high tea for our wedding breakfast and light-up trees as centrepieces instead of flowers.
For the evening entertainment, we wanted a band that could play music from the 1950s to modern day anthems. We found The Jack Rabbits through an online search for rock & pop bands and chose them because we loved their demos.
When we spoke in advance about what we expected from our special day they were very accommodating, especially regarding our first dance song – a slowed-down version of 'Reach for the Stars' by S Club 7!
On the day, The Jack Rabbits were amazing! We had so many comments from guests about how great they were. Everyone was up dancing! They brought such an incredible atmosphere to the evening. We were very sad when The Jack Rabbits had to go, we didn't want the music to stop. Even I was dancing non-stop at 5 months pregnant in my huge wedding dress! I could not stop!
There are so many favourite moments of our wedding day, it was the most magical and special day of our lives so far. Being pregnant, I was not drinking so I got to remember everyone's embarrassing dance moves!
I was very impressed with Function Central's service and would definitely use them and The Jack Rabbits again. You are given a single point of contact who is always in touch with you regarding anything that is needed and happy to address any enquiries.
My advice to other couples would be to make sure you meet your photographers before you book them. We had two photographers on the day – a great team – and we could not have asked for a better pair to be with us on our day. We also made all the stationery too but this is time consuming so get help form friends and family but you do save a lot of money!

Geoff and Brian really made our day special and made us feel so at ease.
Venue: Ringwood Hall, Chesterfield
Dress: Victoria Kay. Bought at Francesca Bridal, Sheffield
Lesley who helped me choose my dress was so bubbly and knew her stuff!
Flowers: JJ Flowers, Chesterfield
I know nothing about flowers. I said I wanted a wild garden theme with no roses to hide my bump with Autumn colours and a splash of purple. What I received was better than I ever imagined!
Cake: World of icing, Chesterfield
I wanted a 3-tier cake for my squirrel toppers to sit proudly on. I had an idea that I wanted a sprinkle of autumn leaves on it with a tree bark effect icing. Again, better than I ever imagined when I saw it! Plus it had glitter it on!
Hair and Make-up: Bridal Creative, Chesterfield
Lauren and Louise were a great team who managed did hair and make-up for me, 3 bridesmaids, mother of the bride, flower girl and 2 friends. They arrived at 7.15am and finished at 11am. Hard working girls! Great fun.
Cars: Cottam Carriages, Chesterfield
Beautiful, clean cars with cava included! We had them booked for the day but after the ceremony, my new Husband and I went for a private 15 minute drive around the area before they left. Very comfortable and lovely drivers.
