Booking a steel band?

Add a laid-back tropical style to your garden party, outdoor wedding reception and corporate function with a sublime steel band.

Steel drum bands originated in Trinidad and Tobago during the 1930s and 1940s, and have come to define the sound of the Caribbean, the sun and all things tropical!

Our steel pan bands come in a range of sizes. A steel pan trio is the most popular line-up for weddings and events and typically consists of a tenor or soprano pan (playing the melody), a double or treble guitar pan (playing chords) and a tenor bass or bass pan to provide the bassline. Many of our bands vary or expand on this line-up to include percussion or electric guitars and bass for a more rhythmic sound.

Larger ensembles include a vocalist to sing reggae classics by Bob Marley, UB40 and Boney M, in addition to traditional steel band music. Some bands even offer professional dancers to teach you to limbo!

Since most steel bands don’t require amplification, they’re suited to outdoor garden parties. Just remember to put the band in a shady spot as direct sunlight can affect tuning. They can also perform pan-around-the-neck style for parades and events to make sure there’s always music wherever you need it!
