All bands are fronted by a male or female lead vocalist and are experts in filling the dancefloor. They'll bring guests of all ages together in an atmosphere of total celebration!
Of course! Don't worry, if pop music isn’t your thing, we have dedicated Essex wedding soul bands, ceilidh bands or jazz bands to get your party started. We can also provide Essex wedding musicians for your ceremony, drinks reception and wedding feast. Why not walk down the aisle to a string quartet then hire a wedding singer as a warm-up to the main act later on? Pianists and guitarists are useful for breaking the ice during your wedding banquet. Whatever Essex wedding music and entertainment you’re after, we've probably got it!
All our Essex wedding bands are self-contained and will arrive fully equipped to perform at your event. Get in touch if you are expecting to host more than 200 guests, as there may be extra equipment requirements but, other than that, you will only need to supply the band with a power source and a flat, sheltered space to perform in. The performance area should be around 3 x 3 metres for a three-piece band, adding a metre in width per band member, as appropriate.
A standard schedule of working hours for our bands would be 9.30pm until midnight, which includes two hour-long sets with a 30-minute break. Please note that late fees might apply if the band is required later than midnight.
Bands will require a soundcheck ahead of the show. Between 5pm and 6pm is an advisable window for arrival and 60-90 minutes is usually sufficient soundcheck time. It is best if the venue is free of guests at this point, both for the band’s convenience and your guests’ comfort. If the space cannot be free of guests, some of our wedding bands can arrange a ‘noiseless’ line-check in order to set up the equipment without disturbing proceedings.
If you want your wedding band to play your first dance, this can usually be arranged. Check the band’s profile to see if they offer this option and try to give plenty of notice for them to learn your request. Alternatively, all of our bands can play your first dance on an mp3 or iPod through their PA system.
During the interval, our bands will all play music via mp3 or iPod. Some Essex bands are able to provide their own DJ service for before and/or after the performance but check out the individual profiles for details.
All our bands and wedding singers in Essex who are booked for an evening performance request a basic meal at the event – the travelling, setting up and performing is a long working day! The specific requirements will be detailed on your booking contract.
