Luca was brilliant... very personable and a lovely addition to our day!

Where did you get married?

Gosfield Hall in Essex. It's a beautiful building with plenty of opportunities for unique photos. The venue offers different rooms for each part of the event and it was the perfect size for the number of guests we wanted to invite.

What sort of feel did you try to create on the day?

We just wanted to make sure the guests were eating and drinking lots! Our colour scheme was pale rose with ivory, and the men wore navy suits. This really suited the house and grounds of the venue.

Why did you decide to book live music for the day?

As we're both musicians, it was important for us to have some quality musical features. Some of the decorations we chose were musical and we selected Luca to play piano during our drinks reception based on his professional sound as featured in his demo videos.

What were your favourite moments of the day?

We can't choose our favourite moments, the entire day was perfect! We especially enjoyed spending the day with our closest friends and family. Our suppliers and staff at the venue made the day run very smoothly and made it incredibly enjoyable and stress-free!

How did you come across Function Central?

Online. There is a vast choice of musicians and we liked that we could listen to demo videos before booking.

What did you think of Luca Dimitri?

Luca was a brilliant wedding pianist. He arrived and set up without any fuss and played all of the music we requested perfectly. The guests really enjoyed the music during the ceremony and our welcome drinks and canapes. Luca was very personable and a lovely addition to our day.

What advice would you give other couples planning a wedding?

Do not worry about the weather! It rained all day at our wedding and we ended up getting the most beautiful photo from it. It meant that all of our guests stayed together rather than wandering off which made the day more intimate. Also try not to get stressed during the planning process - we thoroughly enjoyed planning our wedding, and that was mostly down to our suppliers being extremely professional and lovely to work with.
