Marie is not only a stunning and versatile harpist, she’s also a celebrity favourite: in the last few years she’s performed for The Queen, the Prince of Wales, the Princess of Thailand, Nelson Mandela and Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter and Tony Blair!

She’s equally at home playing Bollywood film anthems as she is playing favourite classical songs, and her repertoire takes in plenty of modern pop songs, jazz standards and traditional folk tunes.

Marie excels as a wedding harpist, and she’s performed at many of the most prestigious venues over the years in and around London including Syon Park, Stationer’s Hall, Shangri-La at the Shard, Hampton Court Palace and The Houses of Parliament.

Having spent a great deal of time in India, Marie has performed at numerous weddings and private functions in venues including Bangalore Palace and the Taj Mahal.

Alongside her solo career, Marie has played with famous orchestras including The City of Moscow Ballet, the Westminster Philharmonic and The London Sinfonia. She has also performed and recorded with a number of contemporary artists, including Placebo, The Hours and Zero 7, and she has recorded music for films, including Rembrandt.

Harp & flute duo

The duo have played at many prestigious venues, especially in London, including most of those already listed above - and others including: St James’s Piccadilly; St Martin-in-the-Fields; the Wallace Collection and the Queen’s House, Greenwich, to name a few.

Marie S’s flautist, Klio has performed extensively as a soloist and as an ensemble player in her own right at private events, classical concerts and music festivals in London and around the UK. She has also toured and played in France, Greece, Ireland and Bulgaria.
