We got married at The Wheatsheaf Inn and Cowshed in Wirral. We chose this country style pub as we thought it was the perfect setting for our wedding reception. It was exactly what we wanted in terms of a rural setting - relaxed and barn-like.

Our theme was vintage and rustic, which meant the country pub was perfect!

My favourite moment? Definitely walking down the aisle at the church. The toast at dinner was also a highlight as we had jäger bombs! Dancing all night to the band was brilliant too.

Why did we choose a band for our wedding? We always enjoy live music! We found Function Central online after a Google search and we liked the look and sound of The In-Laws band from their page and example songs.

The band and DJ were all amazing. Every single guest loved them, as we did too. We would highly recommend them. They made our night very special and were excellent throughout.

Our advice to other couples planning a wedding? Make sure you plan your day to let the venue know exactly what you want. Personalise it to you and your own tastes and likes.
