Kathryn & Matt's Wedding | The Sonics

We were over the moon with The Sonics. Everyone loved them, they were awesome!

The venue for our vintage-inspired wedding was Armathwaite Hall, near Keswick. We chose it for the view, the stunning location and grounds, and the mix of old and new. It comes highly recommended and the staff were superb.

The style of the wedding was vintage-meets-country-garden, but we sort of made up our own theme! We had glass cake stands, twinkling lights and metallic vases with lots of flowers – roses, lavender and rosemary with plenty of gypsophila everywhere. We hung pom poms from the windows in the chill-out room and had lots of cupcakes!

The Sonics, via Function Central were our band for the evening reception. We booked them based on lots of research of wedding bands available in Cumbria and loved their style. They didn't disappoint!

We were over the moon with The Sonics! Everyone loved them, they were awesome. They set up nice and early before the evening reception, introduced themselves and were really professional and friendly. They played a lot of our requested songs and learnt our first dance which was awesome to hear.

They got the crowd involved, dancing with them and played longer than they were supposed to. The laptop DJ was great too, which they played in between sets. Their music was amazing and everyone was up dancing.... it was hard not to!

We were SO happy with The Sonics and will definitely be using them again! We've also recommended them to friends who are planning parties soon.

The highlights of our wedding day were walking in and seeing my groom, saying our vows, the gorgeous sun that shone all day, having photos by the lake, the wedding breakfast and speeches and the evening reception. I loved every minute!
