We were both amazingly satisfied with the act... their playing was fantastic, great sound, great repertoire, great energy and added the finishing touch to a great atmosphere and a great night!

We had our wedding reception at The Departure Lounge Cafe in Alton, partly because it was fairly close to the church but also because it was an alternative space where we could put OUR stamp on our reception, we don't like things too formal and wanted to do something relaxed, fun, different and cool.

We aimed for a summer fete meets English tea party meets shabby chic summer festival with a hint of 60s Mod (as the groom is one!)

What were our favourite moments of the day? Absolutely all of it!

We chose The Mod Cons band as their online demo and set list was perfect, exactly what we were looking for in look, feel in most importantly sound!

We did ALOT of research and a lot of listening to many wedding bands for hire on Function Central's website! They really were the best and we really put the leg work in our search!

The Mod Cons were particularly helpful in downloading a new version of the first dance to be played through their system - which worked brilliantly (they earned themselves a beer or two) and also playing some of our favourite songs!

We were both amazingly satisfied with the act, they were a lovely bunch of nice, friendly, helpful and easy going guys, who went out of their way with some demands of the groom (he is known to be a bit of a music snob).

More importantly however their playing was fantastic, great sound, great repertoire, great energy and added the finishing touch to a great atmosphere and a great night!

Our advice to other couples? BOOK THIS BAND!
