We absolutely loved Downtown Underground, they were lively and so so talented.
We got married at Worcester College Chapel - we chose this because it's where Will went to University. We then had Kingston Bagpuize House, Oxfordshire for the reception - it was a beautiful venue for the reception within driving distance from our ceremony venue. It had weather cover options and was within our budget.
We chose a blush colour theme, soft romantic and elegant with a bit of sparkle and cheekieness.
We booked a string trio for the ceremony because we had a couple of specific songs in mind we wanted them to play. A 4 person choir and organist to help with the hymn singing. The choir also sang solos during the signing of the register. The string trio played for our reception drinks as well and then we had Downtown Underground for the party. We chose them because we wanted a band that had soul and would sing both old and new tunes. They also had the brass instruments that we really wanted.
My favourite moments were seeing how happy Will was, I don't think he stopped smiling all day, and being in the same room with all the people we love the most. Makes me feel emotional just thinking about it.
We spent weeks searching the internet for bands and Downtown Underground had the balance of a fun and full sound, they had the option to add in the brass section and they sang both old and new songs which catered for all our guest's tastes.
My advice to other couples is don't compromise. The band gets the party started and people do remember whether the music was good or bad unless your guests really like their drink and then they may not remember so well.
We absolutely loved Downtown Underground, they were lively and so so talented. The band leader was especially helpful setting everything up and nothing was a problem. Lots of guests commented on what a classy choice the band were. We loved having the brass section, it made such a difference and the lead singer was such a pro, he's American which added an international feel to the evening. We were so happy with our choice.

Photographer - Martin Phelps - Hardly noticed him, he's so subtle and not at all cheesy!
Wedding Flower Company - Nothing was too much trouble for Cathy and Gayle, they made us feel so important and they wanted to get everything perfect for our big day. They put so much work and imagination into our flowers and made us feel like everything was very much under control.
