Pete's eclectic musical influences range from Steely Dan and Joni Mitchell to John Tavener and James MacMillan, as well as folk and ethnic traditions. As a jazz pianist, Pete draws inspiration from Oscar Peterson and Bill Evans as well as more current acts such as John Taylor and Keith Jarrett.

He recently released his debut album with his new trio, and his playing has been described by revered jazz pianist and broadcaster Julian Joseph as "lucid, imaginative and communicative".
