The Ashes Exclusive Country House Barn Wedding Venue Staffordshire sits at the foothills of The Peak District, surrounded by 50 acres of tranquil countryside; a stunning, private, exclusive-use venue. The Ashes won 'Best Wedding Venue 2014' at The National Wedding Industry Awards, and it's not hard to see why with these two Grade II listed rustic barns. The Ashes' attention to detail covers all aspects of the day, but is particularly clear when it comes to the food. They offer mouthwatering bespoke seasonal menus with 'food theatre' and surprise courses, to festival food or smokehouse barbeques. The cherry on top is their 'no corkage' option! The East Barn is where the evening's celebrations happen. Dance like crazy and then collapse into the snug leather chairs in the barn's bar ready for the next tune. Simply put, your day is in good hands at this countryside haven. Wedding bands who have played here include The Buskers, Agent Smith, and The Jack Rabbits.
Warwick House
With exclusive use, a licence for outdoor civil ceremonies under the glorious gazebo, and rooms to hold weddings of 30-200, Warwick House is a very popular West Midlands wedding venue. The staff are dedicated to making every wedding perfect, with serious attention to detail. Canapes and champagne can be served in the elegant Regency Room followed by wedding breakfast in the Banqueting Hall, with doors out to the terrace and gardens. This can later be transformed for the evening reception for some serious partying. Warwick House has a well-stocked wine cellar to be proud of, as well as extensive menu options. There are also lots of special touches that the venue can provide if requested, from a postbox for wedding cards to a vintage style sweet cart or chocolate fountain! One of our finest West Midlands wedding bands, Cloud Nine, went down a storm and had guests dancing into the small hours when they last played here!
Redhouse Barn
Redhouse Barn was developed into a wedding venue by Jeremy and Jane after it had seen several family weddings. The couple's care in this development can be seen in the detail, for example the Minstrels' Gallery which overlooks the Timbered Barn (one of two barns here) where the bride can get ready in the morning whilst watching the venue transform into the perfect setting for her wedding day. As well as working with award-winning caterers Morgans, and providing an exceptional lighting rig for the party (complete with lasers, haze machines and special effects lighting), Redhouse Barn can hire out its very own convertable vintage Rolls Royce! The Beat Kings, Cerone, and The Spooks have all played at Redhouse Barn recently, and they all had a blast!
Elegant Georgian country house Iscoyd Park is a breathtaking venue, standing within an expanse of 18th century parkland and gardens. The sublime catering options cover everything you could think of, including private dining the night before the wedding, and a light lunch for the bridal party before the ceremony, to keep energy levels up! There is care and thought in every aspect of the wedding planning (on-site wedding planner of course), down to details such as a fragrance for each room, magical outdoor lighting and the double love swing nestled in the garden. Iscoyd Park now offers spa treatments in the old stables for ultimate indulgence, as well as their very own champagne. Iscoyd Park has been rocked and rolled by Superted, The Camellia String Quartet, The Saints, The Misfits, Acoustic Connection, Four Strings and Agent Smith.
One of Heath House's unique features is that the family that built it in the 1830s still live here. It is mostly unchanged, and retains an authenticity and intimacy that isn't always found in venues like this. The grand house, with impressive staircase and ornate rooms, sits amongst 127 acres of parkland and formal gardens over which it has magnificent views. The grand Drawing Room and the Regency Orangery that overlooks a sunken rose garden are licenced for civil ceremonies, and glorious photo backdrops are in abundance throughout the house and grounds. The Heath House's caterers have worked with and served the royal family, so an incredible wedding breakfast is also in the bag.
The Mount Hotel
Having hosted royalty, aristocracy and film stars, The Mount Hotel is known for its service and style. The impressive 'Old English Revival' style building is full of dramatic rooms such as the wood-panelled Manders Suite and gallery, and the wonderful Great Hall. Civil ceremonies can also take place in the manicured gardens. The staff are a dedicated team, who ensure that every flower and place card is just so! Our West Midlands-based Caribbean Steel Band, Steel Pan Power, brought a fun exotic contrast to the elegant surroundings when they played here recently.
Ettington Park Hotel
Ettington Park Hotel is a Gothic manor dating back to the 11th century. There is ample choice of ceremony space; The Library, The South Room and the Norman Chapel (for a blessing) or outside – the Bell Tower or the glorious Orangery. Throughout the building you'll find stained glass, ornate woodwork and original fireplaces, and every room has a character of its own. A plethora of wonderful canapes are offered by the caterers, with chicken and pistachio terrine, and gin & tonic sorbet being some of the exciting course options for the wedding breakfast. When they've had their fill, guests will party up in the exquisite Long Gallery for the evening's celebrations. Captain Planet and The Spooks have performed at Ettington Park Hotel.
